Body talk
Strap yourselves in as we name French body parts. Below are the most demanded body parts I get from my students - if there are any more you want to know - email me and we will go there.
Face - "Visage": Let's begin with the "visage." "Tu as un visage magnifique!" (You have a gorgeous face!)
Eyes - "Yeux": "Les yeux," are my favourite tool for transcending almost all language barriers. âT'as d'beaux yeux, tu sais.â (you have beautiful eyes, you know) is a popular pick up line which references the film Le Quai des brumes (Port of Shadows, 1938) by Marcel CarnĂ©.
Breasts - "Seins": Who doesnât love a great pair of "seins"? These lovely mounds make people of every age feel good. âJâaime tâes seinsâ (I love your breasts).
Arms - "Bras": We stretch our "bras" wide to embrace the world and each other. Try saying âPrends moi dans tâes brasâ (take me in your arms) to get closer to your lover.
Pussy - "Chatte": My favourite frisky feline! The word for cat âle chatâ is male but when we feminise it we get "la chatte" the French word for "pussy." âMontres moi ta chatteâ means show me your pussy. âMontres moi ton chatâ means show me your cat. đœ
Cock - "Bite": And now, we come face to face with " la bite". Pronounce this like you say the word âbeatâ. FYI, this version of the word for the penis is a feminine noun. So you could correctly say âma bite est belleâ (my cock is beautiful) to anyone who wants to admire her.
Ass - "Cul": Let's move further down with a cheeky addition. Say bonjour to the "cul" â a playful term for the derriĂšre and frankly a word the French are obsessed with. Pronounce this like the letter âQâ. Lovers, a word of warning. Be careful here when you pronounce the word for thank you "merci beaucoup". Many times I have accidentally told a French waiter or shop assistant âthanks, you have a beautiful assâ. Always correct, rarely appropriate in that context.
Feet - "Pieds": . Feet fetishes seem to be very much in vouge on the internet nowadays, but perhaps this shouldnât be a surprise. In his handy book âTell Me What You Want: The Science of Sexual Desire ...." Dr Justin Lehmiller found that â14% of participants reported having had a sexual fantasy before in which feet or toes played a prominent role." If he spoke French he might have said "J'ai dĂ©couvert que 14 % de mes participants ont dĂ©clarĂ© avoir dĂ©jĂ eu une fantaisie sexuelle dans laquelle les pieds ou les orteils jouaient un rĂŽle prĂ©pondĂ©rant."
So, VoilĂ ! We've touched on the French vocabulary of body parts. Soon, I will cover verbs so we can regard an expressive "visage" stroke a cute little "chatte" and suck on two kinky âpiedsâ.
Please, do try this at home, praise your body or someone else's!
